Position: Licensed Archaeologist

Courtney Deery Heritage Consultancy Ltd. is seeking a licensed, eligible archaeologist to join our dynamic and growing team. We work across a diverse range of projects, from infrastructure and renewable energy developments to historic building conservation, delivering high-quality archaeological and cultural heritage services nationwide.

The successful candidate will undertake archaeological fieldwork on a variety of projects throughout Ireland and will work both independently and as part of a wider project team.

Location: Dublin-based with projects throughout Ireland

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Archaeological testing, monitoring and excavation.
Preparation and writing of archaeological reports.
Ensuring fieldwork and reporting are undertaken in accordance with best-practice standards and relevant legislation and guidance.
Maintaining accurate archaeological records and project documentation.
Working independently and collaboratively as part of archaeological and multidisciplinary project teams.
Travelling to project sites throughout Ireland as required.

Minimum Requirements

Degree in Archaeology or a related discipline.
Eligible to hold an archaeological excavation licence in Ireland.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
Strong written and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
